Morteau sausage in a pasta bake

Ingredients

  • 1 Morteau sausage (350 g)
  • 1 package of Juju Rooster's Comb pasta
  • 1 tomato
  • 150 g of Comté cheese
  • 25 g butter
  • 20 g flour
  • 10 cl of milk
  • Freshly ground pepper

Preparation

Step 1: Place the sausage in a pot of cold water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes. Remove the sausage and set aside 10 cl of the cooking liquid for the sauce.

Step 2: Cook the pasta until al dente and set aside 10 cl of the cooking water.

Step 3: For the sauce, melt the butter

Step 4: Add the flour, mix well, then add the milk and the cooking juices from the sausage.

Step 5: Grate 2/3 of the Comté cheese into the sauce. Set aside.

Step 6: Add a little of the pasta cooking water if the sauce is too thick.

Step 7: Pour the pasta into an ovenproof dish.

Step 8: Slice the sausage into rounds and arrange them on top of the pasta.
